The BL2 hardware allows pairing via WIFI Direct and Bluetooth on iOS devices. To enable WIFI pairing, please follow the steps below:
Remove the key from your ignition, unplug the BL2 from your diagnostic port, and unpair the BL2 from your device's Bluetooth settings (if applicable).
Proceed to the settings on your iOS device and scroll to the bottom where your downloaded apps are displayed.
Select "OTR Diagnostics."
Change the"Adapter Connection" setting from Bluetooth to WIFI Direct.
Turn on the WIFI on your device.
Plug the BL2 directly into your diagnostic port.
Push and hold the black button for 5 seconds (until the green LED light changes to blue) and let go.
NOTE: Ensure the LED light is flashing blue. If it's not, repeat the above step.
Navigate to your WIFI settings and search for a new network. Locate the network named BL2_##### and tap on it to connect.
Open the OTR Diagnostics app.
Select "Allow" on the prompt stating "OTR Diagnostics would like to connect..."
NOTE: You may receive a second pairing prompt. Select "pair."
Once the adapter reaches 100% connection status, you are all set and ready to start saving time and money with OTR Diagnostics!
